INVESTMENT PLANNING
A plan for the whole picture.
A written investment plan across your KiwiSaver, managed funds, and the goals that matter to you. Reviewed together every year, so it keeps up with how your life actually moves.
Your plan, in one place.
WHAT IT IS
Advice that holds together across everything you are trying to do.
Most product advice answers one question at a time. Planning answers several at once, and shows how the answers relate to each other.
Your goals, ranked and dated
A first home, retirement, a career change, education for your children, freedom in your fifties. We help you sort what matters most, and when.
The picture you actually have
Your KiwiSaver, any managed funds, cash on hand, income, savings capacity, and constraints. We look at the whole balance sheet, not just one product.
A strategy that fits the risk you can carry
Asset allocation across your goals, chosen against how much market movement you can tolerate without losing sleep or changing course at the wrong moment.
Product recommendations that fit the strategy
KiwiSaver and managed fund choices selected because they support the plan, not because they were easiest to pick.
HOW YOUR PLAN IS BUILT
Deliberate, in your language, built to be held onto.
Grounded in your circumstances
A detailed intake covering income, savings, obligations, goals, and risk tolerance, revisited whenever the picture shifts.
Anchored in evidence
Fund choices supported by current disclosure information, historical behaviour, and a clear articulation of what you are paying for.
Written in plain language
A Statement of Advice you can read, understand, and argue with, in the same session or six months later.
Reviewed on a rhythm
An annual review keeps the plan aligned with your life. If something changes in between, we meet sooner.
THE PLAN AS AN ARTEFACT
Something you can hold in your hand.
The finished plan is a document, not a conversation you might half-remember. If life moves and you need to weigh a decision, the plan is where you go first.
-
SECTION 01
Your goals, in your words
What you are working towards, when, and why. Written so a future version of you will still recognise the reasoning.
-
SECTION 02
Your position, honestly stated
The picture you are starting from, and where the gaps between goals and current position actually sit.
-
SECTION 03
The strategy
How your money should be arranged across your goals, and the reasoning that arrangement rests on.
-
SECTION 04
The recommendations, and the review
The specific products we recommend, what to do next, and when we will meet again.
COST AND SCOPE
A professional fee, quoted before you commit.
Flat fee, quoted up front
We agree the fee before we start, based on complexity. The fee reflects the depth of the work, not the size of your investments.
What is included
A written investment plan across your KiwiSaver and other managed investments, tied to your goals and reviewed annually.
What is not included
The plan does not include insurance advice, mortgage advice, estate planning, tax advice, or advice on products outside managed investment schemes and KiwiSaver. Where those matter to the plan, we note them and can suggest specialists.
WHY A HUMAN
Software can optimise a number. A person keeps the whole plan honest.
When your goals pull in different directions, the trade-offs are judgment calls. A qualified adviser makes them with you, and owns the result.
A robo-adviser
- Sorts funds against a fixed rule set. The same answers always produce the same output.
- Cannot see the parts of your life that do not fit the form.
- Stays silent when markets fall or your circumstances change.
- No one is accountable for whether the answer was right for you.
A Renver adviser
- Technology does the analysis, then a qualified adviser makes the call.
- Weighs the whole picture: your goals, your comfort with risk, your life.
- Reviews with you as things change, and is there when they do.
- Regulated advice: a person reviews, decides, and stands behind it.
