This is Renver Financial Limited's public disclosure. It sets out who we are, the financial advice we provide, our fees, how we are paid, how we manage conflicts of interest, and how to make a complaint.

Licence status

Renver holds a Class 2 licence issued by the Financial Markets Authority to provide a financial advice service. The licence was granted on 25 June 2026.

Renver's licence carries a set of standard conditions set by the Financial Markets Authority. These conditions cover matters like record keeping, complaints handling, outsourcing, business continuity, and regular reporting to the FMA. None of these conditions limit or restrict the advice Renver may give to clients.

Nature and scope of our financial advice service

Financial advice products we cover

Renver's advice covers the following product types:

  • KiwiSaver Schemes

Renver does not provide advice on other financial products, including:

  • Insurance of any kind
  • Mortgages and consumer credit
  • Individual shares or bonds
  • Discretionary investment management services (DIMS)

Types of advice we provide

Renver's advice on KiwiSaver is provided in two ways:

  • Product advice: a recommendation on a specific KiwiSaver Scheme, in relation to a specific client goal.
  • Switching funds within a scheme: guidance on changing your fund within a KiwiSaver Scheme you are already invested in.

Product providers covered

Renver's advice is not limited to particular product providers. Renver reviews KiwiSaver Schemes available to retail investors in New Zealand, and considers schemes across that whole market when assessing what is suitable for a client's goals and circumstances.

A product may appear on Renver's recommended list whether or not the provider has a commercial arrangement with Renver, provided the product meets Renver's suitability criteria.

Renver holds commercial arrangements (agency agreements and commission entitlements) with certain product providers. A list of the providers Renver holds a commercial arrangement with, and the commission structure applicable to each, is available on request at info@renverfinancial.co.nz.

How the commercial arrangement affects service

  • If you choose a recommended scheme from a provider Renver has a commercial arrangement with, Renver can complete the sign-up and transfer process on your behalf and provide ongoing advice, contribution guidance, and reviews.
  • If the provider is one Renver does not have a commercial arrangement with, Renver can confirm whether the scheme is suitable and explain how to join directly through the provider's website, but cannot provide the sign-up service or ongoing advice for that scheme.

This difference reflects the scope of services Renver is funded to provide, not the quality of the product.

Material limitations on the scope of our advice

  • Renver does not hold or receive client money or client property at any stage. All transactions are placed directly with the product provider chosen by the client.
  • Renver does not provide discretionary investment management services and does not manage client portfolios on a discretionary basis.
  • Renver does not provide digital advice (advice given directly to a client by an automated system without human review). All advice is given by the engaged Financial Adviser.

Fees, expenses, or other amounts payable

Renver's advice on KiwiSaver is free to you. For most providers Renver has a commercial arrangement with, the provider pays Renver an introduction fee and ongoing service fee, and you pay nothing (see "Commissions or other incentives" below). For some providers, you instead pay Renver an ongoing service fee; when it applies is set out in your Statement of Advice before you act. If you choose a scheme from a provider Renver does not have a commercial arrangement with, Renver receives no payment for the advice.

Product fees payable to the product provider are set by the provider (not Renver) and are disclosed in that provider's Product Disclosure Statement.

Interests and relationships

The Director of Renver has an ownership interest in Nuvano Limited, which supplies the technology platform Renver uses for client intake, workflow support, and Statement of Advice generation. The engaged Financial Adviser makes all advice decisions and reviews every recommendation before it is delivered to a client. Renver's product universe is not determined by the technology platform. Renver's arrangement with Nuvano is subject to Renver's outsourcing due-diligence and oversight framework.

Commissions or other incentives

Where a client invests in a KiwiSaver Scheme from a provider Renver holds a commercial arrangement with, that provider may pay Renver an introduction fee at signup and an ongoing service fee calculated as a percentage of the funds the client holds with that provider through Renver. The specific amounts vary by provider.

These payments generally do not increase the fees you pay to the product provider.

If a client invests in a product Renver has recommended but the provider does not have a commercial arrangement with Renver, Renver does not receive any commission or fee for that recommendation.

The specific commission arrangement for the product recommended to you is disclosed in your Statement of Advice, in writing, before you act on the advice.

Renver manages the conflict of interest created by commission arrangements by:

  • Selecting product recommendations on the basis of what is suitable for the client, not commission level. A product may appear on Renver's recommended list whether or not the provider pays a commission.
  • Documenting the reasoning for each recommendation, including alternatives considered
  • Disclosing the commission received in writing before any advice is acted upon
  • Renver's advisers do not receive bonuses or incentives for recommending any particular provider or product
