Privacy Policy

Version 2026.07 · Effective 8 July 2026

Renver Financial Limited ("Renver", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

We collect information you provide to us, including:

  • Identity and contact details: name, email, phone, postal address, and date of birth where relevant.
  • Financial information: your current KiwiSaver or investment balances, employment, income, financial goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon. We collect this so we can give you suitable advice.
  • Engagement records: our conversations, the advice we give you, and your response to it.
  • Complaints: if you make a complaint, the complaint itself and any related correspondence.
  • Information from third parties acting on your behalf: for example, from your existing KiwiSaver provider if you authorise us to make enquiries.

We only collect what we need. If we do not need it, we will not ask for it.

Why we collect it

We use your personal information to:

  • give you regulated financial advice suitable to your circumstances

  • respond to lawful requests from the Financial Markets Authority or our dispute resolution scheme (Financial Services Complaints Limited)

Who we share it with

We share your personal information only:

  • with the product provider you choose (for example, your new KiwiSaver scheme when you switch)
  • with the technology providers whose platforms support our advice workflow, and only for that purpose
  • with your accountant, solicitor, or other adviser when you ask us to
  • with the Financial Markets Authority or Financial Services Complaints Limited on lawful request
  • where you have given consent, or where required by law

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use it for direct marketing without your consent.

Where your information is held

Your information is held on secure technology platforms used to run our financial advice service. Some information may be held or processed outside New Zealand where a service provider is based overseas. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected under comparable privacy safeguards, in line with Information Privacy Principle 12 of the Privacy Act 2020.
